Biography:  I was born in Teegarden, a small farm town in north central Indiana. Attended school at Tyner High School, Tyner Indiana, small town in same township. Raised on a dairy and grain farm. During my senior year in school 1960, I decided that a career in Law Enforcement would be my goal. Just turning 18 yrs. before graduation and after discovering that I would not pursue my goal until the age of 21. The draft was in effect at the time, so I decided I would enlist and complete my Military service. I enlisted in the Army just one week after High School, May 23, 1960. I complete basic at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo., MP school at Ft. Gordan, Ga. I was assigned to the 549th MP CO., Panama Canal Zone, Oct. 1960. I was stationed at Ft. Gulick, then company moved to Ft. Davis. Served in Panama 31 months, extended, because of Cuban crisis. Discharged May 1963. I worked at a feed mill for two years in Nappanee, In. until finally The Indiana State was accepting application for their academy, 1965. I was accepted and completed the State Police Academy, which was held at Indiana University. I was appointed on September 1, 1965. I worked in northcentral parth of the state, not far from where I was raised. Retired after thirty years on December 20, 1995. After retirement from State Police, I was self employed delivering RV's nationwide until final retirement, December,2005. Traveled 47 of the 48 continental states many many times. Enjoyed traveling, took wife and or grandchildren along on many trips. Enjoy fishing and deer hunting
